Welcome to Food Safety Northwest!  We are a three-year old food safety consulting company located in Boise, Idaho.   On this website we outline our food safety consulting services for processors, technical training, our food safety clinic for small companies, and resources for FSMA compliance.

Company Focus

Our mission is to provide technical assistance to the regional Northwest food industry and beyond, in order to improve the safety of food products, contribute to the success of processors, and help protect the health of consumers.  Our technical assistance will also be available to under-resourced food entrepreneurs and small businesses through our food safety clinic.

What We Offer

Our primary services are on-site food safety consulting and public course offerings targeted at food manufacturers, produce packing operations, and warehousing. Our experience with the various sectors of food processing spans from French fries to fish to chocolate to fresh-cut produce and more!

Who We Are

Our team is comprised of Jeff Kronenberg, M.S. , Ariel Kronenberg, and affiliated food safety professionals.  Jeff is an industry-recognized Food Safety Practitioner with over 34 years of practical experience gained from industry positions and an 18 year tenure as Food Processing Specialist with the University of Idaho and TechHelp.  He has extensive knowledge of implementing and managing food safety prerequisite programs, HACCP/Preventive Controls, product quality, and regulatory compliance.

  1. Designing customized project delivery for every client. We do not offer boilerplate price lists!
  2. Providing a no-cost* initial site visit to discover client needs. During this visit we offer an assessment of your areas of interest and provide written recommendations.
  3. Providing a written project scope and fee schedule for those companies wishing to engage our services.

*For visits in the State of Idaho. We will request expense reimbursement for travel beyond 300 miles R/T.
